Nepalese Association of Florida (NAF) is conducting it’s second Children’s Art Competition for kids of Nepali origin living in Florida, USA. This competition is being organized with the aim of using the power of painting to foster the dreams and creativity of today’s young children who will go on to become leaders of tomorrow.
The entrees received for the competition will be exhibited during “Explore Nepal 2018” event scheduled for May 27 in Orlando, Florida.
The deadline for submitting the entries for the Children’s Art Competition to April 27, 2018.
Eligibility
Any student in Kindergarten through Twelfth grades may participate.
Age Categories
Finalists will be chosen from three levels.
Elementary, Middle, High School
Judging and Winners
A panel of Judges will review entries by three different level.
All finalists’ artwork will be featured in “the Explorer Nepal 2018 “art gallery. There is prize and certificate for First, second and third in each category (Elementary, Middle and High School). All other participants will receive a certificate of participation.
Entries
1. Theme:
1. For Elementary level: Any type of flowers. (Artwork can be realistic or abstract.)
2. For Middle level: landmark of Nepal. (Artwork can be realistic or abstract. You may include people and animals in your artwork.)
3. For High level: Anything related to Nepal and Nepalese culture and tradition. (Artwork can be realistic or abstract.)
2. Media and Technique Requirements
Any of the following media or techniques may be used:
Paint (Watercolor, tempera, crayon, pastels, Charcoal, acrylic, oil, etc.)
Oil and acrylics work should be painted on 8×10 canvas.
3.Size: 8inch x10 inch canvas or canvas paper.
4.Entries: One entry per person for all levels.
5.Other: Please do not frame the work.
All entries should be handed to your local NAF representative.

Any artwork that depicts copyrighted images will be rejected. All artworks must be original ideas and created entirely by the student.
